Women love to dress up, and every year’s fashion for evening dresses reflect the elegance and look one wants to wear for the most special and formal of occasions. Beads, sequins, and the metallic look is popular, and here's how to decide how formal is formal.

Spring and summer women's fashion evening dresses can be a little flirtier than the fall/winter collections, which tend to be more conservative, even if they are sexy and elegant. Black is always the right fashion choice for an evening dress, it doesn't matter what the weather. A word about climate and women's fashion; your evening dress should have a wrap that flatters and compliments the cut of the dress. If the weather is warm, a simple scarf that is basically the same material of the dress will do nicely, if it is chilly out, you may want to consult the store where you bought the dress to purchase the appropriate fashion wrap-most designers make over- wraps that are meant to go with their styles and designs. The wrong wrap can ruin the look of a carefully chosen evening dress. Brocade, velvet, or taffeta is the conservative, formal evening choice for fabric.
