Sexy Lingerie

The original women's lingerie was far from the sexy fashion styles of today.

Originally lingerie wasn't even considered a fashion item, it was simply designed (if you can call it that!) to help boost the clothing fashion of the time. Lingerie historically could be quite painful to wear (think corset), let alone try to get into. Fashion dictated whether or not a woman's bust would be lifted or held flat against her chest, and the lingerie of the time reflected whatever style was in fashion.

Corsets were especially trying to put on and wear, and many women fainted – which can’t have been good for their health - from their air being physically cut off by the tight bodice. As women's fashion changed and became more flexible, so did their lingerie, for which women everywhere are grateful! Whale bone corsets were done away with, and were replaced by thin wire and eventually elastic - and comfortable women's fashion in underwear was born.

Today women's lingerie leaves little to the imagination, traveling from no underwear in ancient Greece to virtually any underwear today. Women's lingerie is hardly recognizable as the undergarment of yesteryear, and as far as some garments go, one wonders why one bothers wearing any at all? For the look of course! Think thong… found uncomfortable by many, but eye-riveting to the man in your life…

Because women's sexy lingerie is fun. It's fun for the two of you to both put on and take off! Women's fashion has always tried to lean toward the seductive, even when whale bone was used to push up the bust. It's always been designed to catch the eye, and catch the eye it does.

Men will continue to roam the stores in search of women's sexy lingerie - not for fashion, but because it makes a great gift for both of you. Women love to get lingerie as a gift for Valentines day or their birthday – so long as it’s appropriate. Many a lingerie gift stresses women, so guys, always buy appropriately. Nothing hurts feelings so much as skimpy underwear a women can’t fit into. If buying for someone else, always take care to buy the right size, and something she will feel pretty and attractive in, not just something you want to see her in… Get it right, and giving a woman lingerie for a special occasion says that you think she is beautiful, and a little secret for the guys, women's sexy lingerie makes them feel sexy, too, not just like they're in fashion.
