Is there anything a woman likes better to shop for than shoes? Shoe fashions change with the seasons as much as any other fashion, so consistent shoes shopping is a must!

The first shoes in every culture that archeologists have uncovered were sandals, and the first shoes were straight cut - there was no difference between the left and right shoe. Plus, they all came in leather brown. Talk about a low in women's fashion!

Shoes have come a long way since the early Mesopotamians, however, and and the first shoelaces were invented and patented in 1790. Before that all shoes that were not slip on were fastened using buckles. Now you can get women's fashion shoes in every colour, style, and size imaginable. Shoe designers compete every season to come out with the fashion shoes of the season, because they know that women will spend a pretty penny on shoes before any other fashion, including lingerie and swim wear.

No wonder women’s fashions need a shoe for every occasion. Women work, shop, dance, and run after the kids, and so need the right shoes to get the job done. When it comes to work, fashion style doesn't need to take a backseat to comfort.

Even with the new styles for women's work shoes today, remember that these are the only feet you get to have, and how you treat them has a bearing on how your back, hips, and even your neck feel at the end of the day. So if you stand on your feet for most of your work day, spend the money on good, sturdy, raised arch work shoes for women. Consider it as much of an investment as you do the high heeled strapless summer sandal to wear when you go clubbing. Christian Dior women's shoes for work are as stylish as their women's dress shoes so why not spend the money sensibly and stay in fashion while you save your feet?
