Trainers or athletic shoes for women’s fashion are popular for both the sport they were meant for, and for all around casual wear.
The important decision to take into consideration when buying trainers is what sport they will be used for, and less importance SHOULD be a sense of fashion – but with the range available there’s no need to skimp on the designer look.
A good trainer is a good walking shoe – and is also a good work fashion shoe, because of the arch support which can help keep your back and hips in alignment. But there are also specific trainers for each activity, and a great excuse to have more than one pair in your closet!
Walking trainers
Walking trainers should be purchased with the help of the salesperson. It is unwise to buy a pair of women's shoes simply based on style or price. The most expensive fashion shoe may not meet your needs, and the most popular may be the worst cut for your foot. If you just like the feel of women's fashion trainers, choose the lightweight fashion style. If you are into long distance or speed walking for health, make sure the salesperson takes into consideration your stride, foot width and length, and especially your arch setting-flat or high. Walkers with a neutral gait should be looking at lightweight performance trainers, while cushioned trainers are best for short distance speed walkers. Stability trainers have excellent support and durability for runners.
Hiking boots/sports shoes
Bowling and other sports shoes, plus hiking boots also fall into the category of trainers, even though one would not think so; one does not usually think of fashion when buying sports shoes. The reason for this is that they provide a specific support for the sport you participate in. Obviously you want a bowling shoe with good ankle support and slide, and a good women's fashion hiking shoe should consist of high ankle support. With both types of trainers, you want to train your ankles to be stronger, and these types of fashion shoe are the best for each individual sport.
Trainers are nowadays designer fashion items, not just sports accessories. You don’t have to be fit to wear them, nor do you have to play sport. There is truly a trainer for everybody.
