Women's trousers come in tailored, pull on, and as part of a suit.
The tailored trousers are more form fitted than the other styles, and are typically the ones fashion designers come out with for the runways, along with the women’s suits for both casual wear, the office, and for evening wear.
When purchasing women's trousers you should always try them on and not just buy off the rack sizes. This is because designers still make pants which are inevitably too long for plus size women. Just because a woman's fashion trouser has a larger waist does not mean that she is proportionately six feet tall. Tailored fashion trousers purchased in the finer stores will usually need to be hemmed if you are a plus size woman.
Some designers for the women's fashion are on the verge of figuring this out. It's a wonder it has taken so long, but now the sizes tend to run with tags that read "short" or "wide" size. This means that women's trousers are wider at the waist and shorter in the inseam. Alleviating the other problem that plus size women find when purchasing trousers-in order to get the right length, the inseam hangs too low. Pull on fashion trousers help with this problem, but then you are sacrificing the tailored, fashionable look which will be in during the fall/winter collection season.
Women’s suits are colour coordinated with a pinstripe blazer and solid pant, the other way around, or show off matching fabrics. They are designed for the office and evening wear, and some are as elegantly put together as a fine cocktail dress. Darker colours and thin pinstripes are back, and gangster type style hats with a long sleeve white button down blouse complete the look for the formal occasion. Medium height shoes look especially good with this fashion style; spiked heels look silly.
